Rev. Robert L. Lafferty
Robert Lafferty went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday October 20 at the age of 91. He went from walking through “hills and valleys” to walking on the streets of gold. Robert was the Pastor of many churches in many states over the years. Robert was proceeded in death by his dear wife Dorothea of 65 years. He is now waiting for his 4 children to meet him in Heaven some day: Brenda (Mike) Stentz of Ashland, OH, Marcia (Dan) Deem of Louisville, OH, Robyn (Rusty) Evans of Franklin, TN, and Bob (Terry) Lafferty of Stuart, FL, and his loving sister Jane of Canon, GA. Robert was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 17 great-Grandchildren. Robert’s life on this earth is over but his influence and godly heritage remains.
Robert’s family wants to thank two special groups of friends: the wonderful care givers at Altercare of Louisville including his special baseball friend John, and the incredible staff at the Louisville Dairy Queen who made his weekly visits a time of true love and compassion.
Robert “fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.” A Memorial Service will be held for Robert at the Louisville First Assembly of God, 1921 W. Main St., Louisville on Saturday October 29, at 11:00 AM.
