Richard “Dick” E. Bower, age 90, long time resident of Louisville, OH passed away peacefully on November 25, 2021 in his home. He was born March 3, 1931 in Canton, OH to the late Elbert and Faye Bower. Dick was retired from Republic Steel after 42 years of service and he was a long-time employee of Ted’s Auto Sales in Louisville. He was a car enthusiast and loved going to car shows. He was also very proud of the fact that he could recite the alphabet backwards, even after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
Dick is survived by his long-time companion of 30 years, Kim Nelson; a daughter, Pam March; his son, Richard L. Bower; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a special niece and nephew, Brandi Miner and Mark Bower and his beloved dog Doodle and cats Leo and Peanut. Along with his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor “Tootie” Bower, a daughter, Robin McCarty and his brother, Harold Bower.
