Richard “Dick” Dysle, age 88, of Alliance, OH passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18, 2021 in his home. He was born March 28, 1933 in Paris, OH to the late Archibald and Dorothy (Ebie) Dysle. Dick was a very kind, loving, giving, hard working Christian Man. He was known to many as the “Candy Man” because he loved to pass out candy, apples and baked goods to anyone he came in contact with. He was a dairy farmer for 40 some years and also worked at Alliance Drop Forge, Stark Ceramics and Kia of Alliance over the years.
Dick was also preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Twila (Davis) Dysle; three sisters, Dolores Stonehill, Elmo Day, Shirley Lippincott; his brother, John Dysle and his son-in-law, Larry Wood. He is survived by two daughters, Debby (Neil) Waid, Tammie Wood; two sons, Todd (Paula) and Tom (Deborah) Dysle; a sister, Mary Lou (Dick) Johnson; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Dick’s life will be 11am Tuesday at the Freeburg Church of the Brethren. The family will receive friends from 10-11am Tuesday morning at the church. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.stierisraelfuneralhome.com
