Roberta Lang, age 84, of Louisville, OH passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022 in her daughter’s home. She was born December 24, 1937 in Massillon, OH to the late Robert and Opal (Eberly) Schwartz.
Roberta Loved God, her family and the church. She had a passion for music and loved playing the piano, accordion, hammered dulcimer, and many other instruments. She enjoyed working in the garden. Roberta made loaves of bread weekly and was known for her grape sunshine and strawberry jam. She was a committed athlete, swimming laps at the Louisville YMCA three time a week. She had a heart for missions, which led Glen and Roberta to volunteer at Equip International.
Roberta was preceded in death by her husband (of 60 years) and the Love of her life, Glen Lang, in 2014; a daughter, Elaine Mitchell; her brother, John Schwartz and a grandson, Adam Lang. She is survived by two daughters, Deborah (Lloyd) Bailey, Evelyn (Steve) Collins; two sons, Richard Lang and Robert (Vanessa) Lang; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be 5-7pm Wednesday evening at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville. Roberta will be laid to rest 11am Thursday, with a graveside service officiated by Rev. Michael Grant, in South Lawn Cemetery, Beach City, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Equip International, 126 Rockhouse Rd, Marion, NC 28752.
