Roma Jean Moore / Block, age 93, of Louisville, OH passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021. She was born April 20, 1928 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Harry and Clara Martin. Jean and her sister, Etheleen loved to sing, and would often go to nursing homes and churches to perform. Jean was a very generous person that enjoyed canning and baking, and usually gave most of what she made away. She was retired from First Merit Bank and was a member of the Beech Mennonite Church.
Jean was also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Harold Moore in 1981, her 2nd husband, George Block in 1984; a daughter, Patricia Ann Moore; son-in-law, Lonnie Stevenson; her sister, Etheleen Rapp; brother, Robert “Bob” Martin and a grandson, Ramsey Stevenson. She is survived by a daughter, Polly Stevenson; her son, Jack Moore; two brothers, Keith (Bonnie) and Harry Martin; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 11am Friday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Pastor John McGuckin officiating. Calling hours will be 10-11am Friday morning at the funeral home. Roma Jean will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery, Louisville, OH. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 408 9th St, Suite 3400, Canton, OH 44707.
