Ronald E. Burkhart

Ronald Edward Burkhart, age 74, of Waynesburg, OH passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024. He was born in Canton, OH on February 17, 1950 to Leonard and Nellie (Kuhn) Burkhart. Ron was an Army Veteran and a member of St. James Catholic church in Waynesburg. He was a retired truck mechanic for Freshmark Foods in Canton.  Ron had a great passion for cars, especially drag racing, and he was an avid golfer, achieving 8 hole-in-ones in his lifetime.

Ron is survived by three siblings; Sister Janet Burkhart, H.M., Don (Sherrie) Burkhart and Terry (Karen) Burkhart. He is also survived by his niece and nephew, Michael (Susannah) Burkhart and Tracy Burkhart. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas Burkhart.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30am on Friday, September 27, 2024 at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 125 South Carrollton St, Malvern, OH 44644 with Fr. Victor Cinson as Celebrant. A private family burial in Waynesburg Cemetery, with military honors, will be held at a later date.
