Russell P. Bergert

Russell P. Bergert, age 88, of North Canton, OH passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023. He was born December 17, 1935 in Marlboro, Ohio to the late Ray and Dorothy Bergert. Russ was an Army Veteran. He was a member and Past master of the former Cypress Masonic Lodge in Strasburg, OH. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Canton.

Russell is survived by his wife of 62 years, Georgia (Meese) Bergert; his daughter, Holli (Mark) Cholley; son, Todd (Kim) Bergert; sister, Donna Dayton and three grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon and Jordan. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Margerie Dickerhoof and three brothers, Glenn, Dwane and Richard Bergert.

Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday (1-3-24) at the Faith United Methodist Church in North Canton.  Calling hours will be 5-7pm Tuesday evening at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville and 10-11am Wednesday morning at the church. Russell will be laid to rest in Warstler Cemetery, Canton, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Faith United Methodist Church, 300 9th St NW, North Canton, OH 44720 or the Parkinsons Foundation, 200 SE 1st St, Miami, Florida 33131
