Russell Lee Smith, Sr.

Russell Lee Smith, Sr, age 83, of North Canton, OH passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021. He was born Feb. 22, 1938 in Wheeling, W. Virginia to the late John and Anna (Bonar) Smith. Russell was retired from the Ray Molder Carrier Corp., where he was a truck driver. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Iva Catherine Smith and a brother, George LeRoy Smith. Russell is survived by his wife Marybelle Smith; two sons, Russell Lee (Linda) Smith, Jr. and Rich Smith; a brother, Bernard (Rose) Smith and a sister- in- law, Evelyn Smith; two grandchildren, Josh and Jake Smith.

Funeral services will be 11am Friday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville, OH. Calling hours will be from 5-7 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Russell will be laid to rest in Warstler Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.stierisraelfuneralhome.com
