Theresa Amelia McCauley, age 97, of Louisville, OH passed away peacefully, in her home, on Monday, May 20, 2024. She was born December 11, 1926 in Harrisburg, OH to the late Austin and Florence (Frank) Samblanet. Theresa was a 1944 graduate of Louisville High School; she married Elmus McCauley in 1949 and spent 79 years as a Louisville resident. She was an extremely hard worker and a champion at puzzles and card games. Church, Elmus, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life. She was always the ultimate giver and provider, while never a taker.

McCauley in 2003; a son, Raymond McCauley; six sisters, Thelma Fladung, Mary Bahl, Faye Pitts, Anna Mae McCormick, Doris Martelet and Helen McDonald; six brothers, Bernard, Alfred, Howard, John, Jim and Bill Samblanet. She is survived by her son, David (Nancy) McCauley; a sister, Marty Pfabe; four grandchildren, Kirk (Annie), David Christian (Cierra), Caroline and Katherine McCauley; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Thomas McCauley and she was Aunt Theresa to 88 nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11am Friday (5/24) at St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisville with Fr. Matthew Humerickhouse as celebrant. Calling hours will be 10-11am Friday morning at the church. Theresa will be laid to rest in St. Louis Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Louis Church.
