Timothy Mercier Dornan peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at the age of 77. He was born in Canton, OH to the late Kenneth & Christine (Mercier) Dornan of Louisville, Ohio on January 2, 1947.
He is lovingly survived by his wife of over 50 years, Laura, sister Sally (Tom) Samblanet, of Louisville. Niece Amy (Brad) McNamee of Plain Township, Grand-Niece Arielle McNamee of Akron, and Army Officer 1Lt. Casey (Kate) McNamee currently stationed in Texas.
Tim served his nation in The US NAVY during The Vietnam War from 1966-1969 aboard The USS FORRESTAL & Fleet Air Wing Three- Brunswick, Maine. After his Military Service, he worked for 36yrs. at Ashland Refinery/Marathon Petroleum as a billing clerk & product operator from 1970-2006.
Tim enjoyed camping, fishing, carving duck decoys, building model boats from scratch, and especially birdwatching with Laura.
Per Tim's request, there will be no services. He will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered at a special location. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date with his family & close friends.
