Velma A. (Dietz) Schweitzer

Velma A. Schweitzer, age 92, of Louisville, OH went to be with her Lord on Friday, November 10, 2023. She was born August 25, 1931 in Holmes County, OH to the late Harry and Iva (Grogro) Dietz. Velma was an RN and worked at Aultman Hospital and area nursing homes.  She was a member of Paris Israel Church, Robertsville Grange, National Grange and Ohio State Grange. She enjoyed working on the farm, gardening, canning, quilting and crocheting.

Velma is survived by two daughters, Charlotte Schweitzer, Carolyn Mann; her son, Dale (Nancy) Schweitzer; two grandchildren, Kristi Schweitzer and Andrew Schweitzer. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Harold Schweitzer; a brother, Marvin Dietz; son-in-law, Tim Mann and granddaughter, Sarah Schweitzer.

Funeral services will be 2pm Friday (11-17-23) at Paris Israel Church, 12583 Lisbon St NE, Paris, OH 44669 with Pastor Alan Lamb officiating. Calling hours will be 1-2pm Friday at the church. Grange services will be 12:30pm at the church. Velma will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery, Louisville, OH. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.stierisraelfuneralhome.com
