Wayne Matheny

Wayne Matheny, age 90, of Louisville, OH passed away peacefully, on Thursday, September 4, 2025 in his home. He was born December 29, 1934 in Troy, West Virginia to the late Dillon and Pearl Matheny. Wayne was the longtime owner/operator of Matheny’s Garage in Louisville. He was also involved in the design of the auto shop at RG Drage Vocational School.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 70 years, Elma (Robinson) Matheny; a son, Reggie Matheny; two daughters, Tammie Matheny and Sherrie (Don) Marino; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be 11am Monday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville. Calling hours will be 10-11am Monday morning at the funeral home. Wayne will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery, Louisville, OH.
