Wayne C. Meadows

Wayne C Meadows, age 91, of Louisville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021. He was born in Fairhope, Ohio on October 26, 1929 to the late Calvin and Ina (Prosser) Meadows.

Survived by his loving wife of 71 years Jane Ann (Marks) and 3 sons Rodney (Susie), Bob (Lori), Keith (Lynda), and 4 grandchildren, Amanda, Jaclyn, Nicholas and Mark.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Thelma McAndrew, and his brothers Raymond and Ralph Meadows.

He was a life-long Louisville resident, who presided as Mayor when Louisville progressed from a Village to a City in 1960. Wayne founded and operated Meadows Insurance Agency for nearly 50 years, retiring in 2004. He was a long-time member of the Louisville Lions Club and Paradise United Church of Christ. Wayne was honored as the Constitution Parade Marshall in 2010. He enjoyed camping and travel.

Calling hours will be 10am – Noon on Monday at Stier – Israel Funeral Home. Funeral service at Noon with Rev. Dr. David Anderson officiating at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paradise United Church of Christ and Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care.
