Helen C. (Lindsay) Shoemaker

Helen C. Shoemaker, age 90, of Louisville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019.  She was born in Canal Fulton, Ohio on August 24, 1928 to the late Roy and Rose (Landefeld) Lindsay. Helen was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ, Nimishillen Grange #1627, Stark County Pomona Grange, Ohio State and National Grange. She served as County Youth Director, State Youth Director and National Grange Youth and Young Adult Director.

Besides her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John Bernard Shoemaker; two brothers, Hank and Cliff Lindsay.  She is survived by her son Mark Shoemaker; sister, Delores Schweitzer; brother, Roland (Linda) Lindsay and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 11am Tuesday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Rev. Dr. David Anderson officiating.   Calling hours will be 6-8pm Monday evening at the funeral home.  Grange services will be held 5:30pm Monday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at www.stierisraelfuneralhome.com
