Melvin Earl Snyder

Melvin E. Snyder, age 94, of Louisville, OH passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018. He was born September 16, 1924 in Paris, OH to the late Clark and Leona (Sheatsley) Snyder. Melvin was a car painter for Maloney Motors and then retiring from Kempthorn Motors in 1989. He was an Army Veteran. He was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ, Louisville American Legion #548, William H. Hoover Masonic Lodge #770 and the Scottish Rite Valley of Canton.

Melvin is survived by his wife of 68 years, Wilma (Hawkins) Snyder, his daughter, Nancy (Tom) McKimm, his son, Jeff (Pam) Snyder, sister, Ruth (Chuck) Greene, sister-in-law, Kay Snyder, four grandchildren, Jason (Tammy) Snyder, Justin (Devon) Snyder, Chad (Katie) McKimm, Chelsea (Fiancé Pete Schultz) McKimm and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Baumberger, a brother, Austin Snyder and a great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 12noon Wednesday, at Stier-Israel Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. David Anderson officiating. Calling hours will be 10:30am-12noon Wednesday morning at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held at 9:45am Wednesday. Melvin will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery, Louisville, OH.
