Ruth Booth-Appleton Obituary

Ruth (McDermott) Booth-Appleton, age 86, of Louisville, OH passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018. She was born January 28, 1932 in Hartville, OH to late Earl and Lillian (Schaefer) McDermott. Ruth was a 1950 graduate of Marlboro, H.S. and she attended Louisville Christian Church. She was employed at Scio Pottery, Molly Stark Hospital, Harter Bank and Gary Evanich Veterinary Service. Ruth was an artist and enjoyed playing shuffleboard in Ohio and Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, her 1st husband, Richard Booth, her 2nd husband, Bill Appleton, a sister, Lillian McDermott, a brother, Charles McDermott, half-brothers, Howard and Raymond Sweitzer. Ruth is survived by two daughters, Deb (Dale) Lautzenheiser, Terr’e (David) Bianco Sr, her son, Tod (Peggy) Booth, six grandchildren, Erica (John) Seeger, Richard Lautzenheiser, David Bianco, Jr, Tim Bianco, Brian (Becky) Booth, Becky Lamlien and 14 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Cross Roads Hospice for the wonderful compassionate care that was given to Ruth.

A private family service was held at Stier-Israel Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Ruth was laid to rest beside her husband, Richard Booth, in St. Jacobs Cemetery.
