Wilbur E. Lingenhoel, age 88, of Louisville, OH passed away Friday, May 25, 2018. He was born March 9, 1930 in Canton, OH. Wilbur was a 1948 graduate of Canton South High School. He was a retired dairy farmer and a United States Air Force Veteran. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Farm Bureau and he was the Soil and Water Conservation Director for 12 years. Wilbur had a passion for Faith, Family, Friends, Farming and Flying.
Wilbur is survived by his wife of 69 years, Janice (Cairns) Lingenhoel, a daughter, Diana (Rodney) Lashley, a son, Dean (Debbie) Lingenhoel, sister, Yvonne (Ray) Lautzenheiser, brother, Frank (Karen) Lingenhoel, two grandchildren, Lynne Ann Lashley and Mathew Lee Lashley. He was preceded in death by his father Eugene Lingenhoel and his mother, Mary Lingenhoel-Kersteter.
Funeral services will be 11am Thursday morning (5/31) at Christ United Methodist Church in Louisville with Rev Dr. Larry Hinkle officiating. Calling hours will be 6-8pm Wednesday evening at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial, with military honors, will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park, Canton, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 600 E.
