If you knew Bill, he put a smile on your face...everyone knew his name ..."Hi,..It's me Bill,” is what he would start out always saying.
Bill was a graduate of Eastgate School and worked many years at the Cohan-Joliet MRDD workshop.
Bill loved King Kong movies, the Munsters and rides with Erik (his dude) in his Ford truck...
You would find him always with a leopard hat on, his backpack filled with a deck of cards and a notebook that he could write number after number on every page until it was filled and start on another, (Always saying it was his bookwork...) He would always give you a thumbs up, he loved Johnny Cash, bowling, dancing, going to “Vegas” (mountaineer), singing his favorite song (amazing grace) & of course going out to eat and getting his burger and fries..
Bill was our special guy ...loved so much by his family and will really be missed. We know that there is a special place in heaven for Bill and a bright star that will light up the night sky.
A special thank you to Dr. Brady Steineck & staff for their love over the years (pre St Joseph Care Center). Our family would also like to send a heartfelt thank you to the devoted friends and staff of Saint Joseph Care Center and Crossroad Hospice for their compassionate and loving care. Bill was loved by everyone, along with his singing and dancing. Each of you have a special place in our hearts ... thank you!
