Diane Lynn (Wartluft) Richmond

Diane Lynn Richmond, 61, of Louisville, OH passed away peacefully in her home on November 26, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 29, 1960 in Canton, OH to the late Jack and Rosie (LaRocco) Wartluft. Diane was a one-of-a-kind mother. She often said it was her reason for being. Her children were her whole world. She celebrated every beloved daughter’s milestone, every holiday, every Cleveland Indians win with excitement, love and passion. Her home was filled with family, friends, homemade Italian food, laughter and music. She loved travel and had particular fondness for the beach. She enjoyed road trips where she'd watch the beautiful landscapes with her dog Luci in the backseat. In recent years, what gave her the most happiness was her grandchildren Emerson and Brayden. She loved attending their events, ball games and midnight online shopping for them. Truly, she just loved celebrating the specialness of every single day with them. Diane was a successful marketer with several nursing facilities in Stark County. She retired from Canterbury Villa of Alliance in 2020. We all are blessed to have been able to be a part of Diane’s wonderful life. We will continue knowing she will live through us all. 

Diane is survived by her husband Michael Richmond; her 3 daughters, Melissa Custer (Sam Kegg), Abigail Roese (Jared), and Allison Richmond; Her two sisters, Kristine Evans (Mark) and Kathleen Mathey (Lee); and her two beautiful grandchildren Brayden and Emerson Stamey, and her beloved dog Luci. 

A memorial mass will be celebrated (all are welcome) at 11am on Friday, December 3 in the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist Church, 627 McKinley Ave NW Canton, OH 44703.
