Elmer Royer Obituary

Elmer J. Royer, age 92, of Louisville, OH passed away Friday, January 29, 2021. He was born in Louisville, OH on May 24, 1928 to the late Elda and Florence (Minser) Royer. Elmer was a 1948 graduate of Louisville High School and he was retired from Fleming Foods in Canton. He was an avid fisherman.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois (Seifert) Royer; a sister, Esther Miller and two brothers, Rueben and Arther Royer. Elmer is survived by his wife, Marita (Lepley) Hahn-Royer; four daughters, Cynthia (Randy) Thachter, Carolyn Coss, Claudia Hisey and Amy (John) Sherwood; a son, David (Daneille) Royer; two stepdaughters, Tammy Hahn and Jill (David) Tupy; a stepson, Randy (Amy) Hahn; nine grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Elmer will be laid to rest in Marlboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hope Outreach, 1530 Superior Ave., N.E., Canton, Ohio 44705. On line condolences may be left at www.stierisraelfuneralhome.com
