Esther O. (Morris) Paynter

Esther O. Paynter, age 95, of Canton, OH passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022. She was born in Columbus, OH on October 27, 1926 to the late George and Doris (McComb) Morris. Esther was retired from the former Ohio Bell Co. She was a member of the New Life Tabernacle of Massillon and was previously a member of Elevate Ministries in Jackson, OH where her grandson Russ Strange is pastor. Esther was an amazing mom and loving grandmother.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson; a daughter, Carmella Oliver; a sister, Betty Creamer and a brother, John Morris. She is survived by a daughter, Aileen Strange; two sons, Stephen (Cheryl) Paynter and Skip (Susan) Paynter; a sister Martha Brush; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2pm Friday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with her grandson, Pastor Russ Strange officiating. Calling hours will be from 1-2pm Friday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.stierisraelfuneralhome.com
