James Edward Duplain

James Edward Duplain, age 71, of Louisville, OH passed away Monday, April 17, 2023. He was born February 18, 1952 in Canton, OH to the late Russell and Sophia (Journey) Duplain. He was a member of Hope Life Church in Hartville. Jim is survived by his wife of 46 years, Edna (Sogorka) Duplain; his daughter, Renee (John) Conaway; his son, James Duplain Jr; four sisters, Darlene “Dee” (Ed) Shannon, Sister Mary Ann Duplain, Betty (Chuck) McLaughlin, Dorothy “Dot” Bricker; two brothers, Russell (Pat) Duplain, Ron (Karen) Duplain; six grandchildren, Devin, Desiree, Ethan, Aden, Logan and Gabrielle. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Duplain.

A service to celebrate Jim’s life will be 11am Friday morning at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville. Calling hours will be 10-11am Friday morning at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Life Church, 414 Prospect Ave South, Hartville, OH 44632.
