Michael Allen Smith

Michael A. Smith, age 70, of Louisville, OH passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February, 27, 2024 at home, on the farm. He was born September 25, 1953 in Canton, OH to the late Gail and Kathryn (Keszeg) Smith. His biggest goal in life was to become a dairy farmer and he accomplished that, working side by side with his wife for over 40 years. He enjoyed watching westerns and sports on tv and he liked playing cards with his friends.

Mike is survived by his wife of 46 years, Peggy (Dawson) Smith; daughter, Melinda (Chad) Knueve; son, Brent (Stacy) Smith; a sister, Susan (Fred) Weber; brother, Phillip (Cheryl) Smith; two grandchildren that he adored, Cade and Rory; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11am Monday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Pastor, Michael Grant officiating. Calling hours will be 2-4pm Sunday at the funeral home. Mike will be laid to rest in Bethel Cemetery, Beloit, OH. Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.stierisraelfuneralhome.com
