Ron Schmucker

Ronald J. Schmucker, 74, of Louisville, OH passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Green Meadows Health and Wellness Center from complications with Multiple Sclerosis. Ron and his wife were married for 52 years and fostered for the Stark County Department of Job and Family Services for 48 years. Ron’s greatest joy in life was taking care of special needs children, often five at a time. He was a respiratory therapist at Akron General Hospital and Doctors Hospital retiring from there due to his illness.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Barbara (Katich) Schmucker, his brother, Bernard and his foster children, Willie, Amelia, Jonathan, Izaiah and Betty. He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Royer) Schmucker, his son, Sincere of the home, his daughter, Kimberly of Dennison; his sisters, Barb (Dan) Stuckey, Linda (Ron) Brahler, Karen Jordan, Rita (Rob) Yoder, Sharon (Craig) Griffith, Beverly (Ralph) White, Phyllis (Tim) King and sister-in-law, Pat; his brothers, Junior (Wanda) Schmucker, Russ (Georgia) Schmucker, Larry (Maureen) Schmucker, Dale (Holly) Schmucker, Phillip (Renee) Schmucker and many nieces and nephews.

Ron was a soft spoken and kind man with a wonderful smile. He will be greatly missed by his families and friends.

In keeping with Ron’s wishes, no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home, in the family’s name, to help with expenses.
