Ruth M. (Rice) Ost

 “Together Again”

Ruth M. Ost, age 96, of Louisville, OH passed away Friday, March 12, 2021. She was born May 25, 1924 in Louisville to the late Samuel and Laura Rice. Ruth Graduated from Louisville High School, where she was a National Honor Society recipient and Canton Actual Business College. She was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ, Louisville Women’s Club, and Ohio Power Retirees. While working at Ohio Power, she met her husband Darrell Ost, whom she married May 28, 1949, they were together for 64 years until his passing in 2013 at the age of 101. Ruth was an accomplished pianist, she had a great love for animals, especially her cats, and she and her husband were great supporters of the Native American Indians, which they felt the U.S. Government treated unfairly. She very much enjoyed the home, on East Main St, that her and her husband built together and lived in for 68 years.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Debbie Ost, and a grandson, Justin (Melissa) Ost.
